Acupuncture and moxibustion may be a promising adjunctive therapy to medication for treating heart failure, report Chinese authors of a systematic review. Thirty-two RCTs involving 2499 patients were included in their meta analysis. Compared with the traditional treatment group, the experimental group had a higher efficacy rate, along with a significantly improved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), cardiac output, six-minute walk test, and reduced brain-type natriuretic peptide.
