Heaton Acupuncture Clinic will be welcoming students from the Northern College of Acupuncture to complete their training from 21 April. In normal years students would gain practical experience at the Northern College in York, but this year due to Covid that isn’t possible. This means that members of the public can book reduced cost treatments in the teaching clinics on Wednesdays until 7 July. The students will be under the close supervision of Clinic Director, Feras Jerjis. Treatments cost £25 and typically last an hour.
Acupuncture has been used for over 1000 years in the Far East. In the UK patients are now routinely referred to acupuncture clinics for muscular-skeletal conditions and fertility issues. Many people also find acupuncture supportive in maintaining their psychological wellbeing. During recent lockdowns, acupuncture has helped many people to deal with stress and maintain a sense of wellbeing. Heaton Acupuncture Clinic is home to six practitioners with over 50 years combined experience, with a variety of specialities, treating children and adults.
