Over the last seven years our clinic has hosted seminars on classical Chinese medicine, five element acupuncture, first aid and hosted the first ever acupuncture symposium in the North East of England. This is part of our commitment to providing an environment that nourishes learning for therapists and those with a passion for health and healing.

Introduction to Master Tung style Acupuncture - 18th September 2022
On Sunday 18th September 2022 we will be hosting a one day CPD event. Introduction to Master Tung style Acupuncture for the Painful Conditions lead by Alexander Humphries (MSc, BSc, PGDip).
This is an introductory day course into Tung (‘Dong’ in Pinyin Romanization) style acupuncture. Tung style is a family lineage of acupuncture dating back to the Han Dynasty and is know for its unique family of points that are not found in other dominant systems of Chinese medicine. The course will cover fundamental theories of Tung style including anatomical imaging and channel relationships followed by the location, clinical action and needling of some essential Tung style points for pain. The course will be a mixture of theory and hands-on practice.
Suitable for new or experienced practitioners, you must be a qualified acupuncturist and a member of a recognised professional body.

Tim Sullivan is the course leader for Tuina at the College of integrated Chinese medicine. He has been teaching Tuina for more than 10 years at graduate and post graduate level while running his practice for over 20 years,Tim is trained in reflexology, acupressure, and shiatsu before completing his acupuncture and Tuina training in 2006. He is currently studying for a PhD in classical Chinese medicine with Taoist master Jeffrey Yuen.

The physical and mental demands of pregnancy and motherhood may loom large at this point but there is no better way to address a changing body and preoccupied mind than an intelligent and soothing yoga practice that includes positive visualisation, deep relaxation and plenty of opportunities to bond with your unborn baby. Tim Sullivan is an integrative practitioner of Classical Chinese Medicine using Acupuncture, Tuina (Chinese Medical Massage/Acupressure). He runs a practice in London and Totnes. He teaches at the College of Integral Chinese Medicine in Reading, The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington and runs post graduate courses in Classical Chinese Acupuncture and Tuina. Tim is a student of Daoist Master, Jeffrey Yuen and continues to train extensively with him. He is also studying for a PhD in Classical Chinese Medicine at the American University of Complementary Medicine, supervised by Jeffrey Yuen.
